Autonomous Police

OTSAW Digital is a company based in Singapore that is making autonomous police vehicles called the O-R3. These vehicles are about the size of a small buggy and are electric powered. These vehicles have a laser scanner, thermal camera, HD camera, GPS, and lidar. It can recognize license plates and also use facial recognition. They even have little drones in them that follow suspects off road or provide other surveillance. These vehicles are autonomous but can be controlled by people when necessary. The O-R3 is not meant to replace human police officers, but rather to complete some easier enforcement tasks.

Dubai wants to put these police cars on the road in the near future to scan people and identify criminals or others. They have plans in the future to replace a quarter of their police force with robots and have already started the process.
