There are many different types of people in the world. However, one that many despise the most are bullies, people who use strength to intimidate others into inferiority or simply cause someone else discomfort. Usually, they can be found anywhere in the public but most of the time you hear cases of them in school. Although there are not many examples of bullies in my school, they nonetheless exist. For example, in 6th grade, I was interested in solving Rubik’s Cubes. However, a bully stole it while I wasn’t looking. The next day, I found him taking the cube apart and even writing his name on it with a pen. When I asked him whether or not it was mine, even though I already knew, he completely rejected the idea and rather said that he had this Rubik’s cube for the past month. Sadly, I never received the cube back. Many people also experience similar situations like this one, even ones that have gone through physical abuse as well. For moral and safety reasons, bullying should be looked down upon and stopped if seen. However, in the 21st century, a lot more people are spending more and more time on electronics, from work to games. Even online, bullies still find ways to affect other people’s lives. They are most commonly found in social media and video games, places where others will be listening to them. On sites like Facebook or Instagram, bullies may leave insulting messages in the comments or posts that look down on certain ideas. In video games, bullies are also known as trolls, and ruin gameplay either through abusive language or simply not playing the game how it was meant to be played, i.e. team killing, team blocking, abandoning the match, etc. It is people like these that make everyone’s lives harder and less enjoyable. However, it is also impossible to erase every single bully out there, therefore, one should simply try to avoid bullies and if one becomes the target nonetheless, go to one’s friends or adults for backup. In this way, bullies will have a harder time and eventually stop causing discomfort to others.
