Your life is more important than your phone.
There are more and more reports about selfie-related injuries and deaths. The main reason for selfie-related deaths is that when people are taking selfies, they pay less attention to their surroundings, especially their feet. Among these deaths, some cases were fatal, as some were struck while posing with a train. Some occur because they want to enter a dangerous facility to show their wit.
There are other types of injuries and death related to the phone. When people walk, drive, and more, they often check the phones at the same time. Every year, about 421,000 people are injured in crashes that involved a driver who was distracted in some way. Each year, over 330,000 accidents caused by texting while driving led to severe injuries. This means that over 78% of all distracted drivers are distracted because they have been on their phones while driving.
A study found that using a mobile phone while driving will delay the driver’s response speed, which is equivalent to the legal maximum limit of 0.08% alcohol in the blood. People often think it only takes a few seconds to find a phone number or send and receive text messages or emails. However, if the vehicle is in motion, even if it is only four seconds, the car has already driven a long distance: the length of a football field.
Your life is more important than your phone. Please treat it seriously.
