Puerto Rico is still struggling after being ravaged by hurricanes. 3.4 million of its inhabitants still have no power, and our president’s only help has been throwing paper towel rolls into a crowd and complaining. On the other hand, Elon Musk has stated that Tesla can help rebuild Puerto Rico’s Power grid with batteries and solar grids. Since the storms cleared, Tesla has been shipping hundreds of battery packs paired with solar panels to Puerto Rico. It is a long road to rebuilding, but Tesla has provided the stepping stones. Puerto Rico has the opportunity to rise above its fossil fuel reliant past self and pave the way to a brighter and cleaner future. Elon Musk himself donated $250,000 to the relief effort. With this kind of ideology, Elon Musk deserves to be the entrepreneur the rest of us strive to be.
