- Classical music. Classical music is known for being calming, relaxing and helping to reduce stress. Researchers have long claimed that listening to classical music can help people perform tasks more efficiently. From pain management to improved sleep quality, listening to classical music has both mental and physical benefits – which helps increase your day-to-day productivity levels.
- Natural sound. Nature sounds can help people perform tasks more efficiently. They work best when they’re soothing sounds, such as the sounds of flowing water. Researchers say they’ve pinpointed a scientific explanation for why sounds from nature have such a restorative effect on our psyche. According to a new study, they physically alter the connections in our brains, reducing our body’s natural fight-or-flight instinct (sympathetic response).
- Cinematic music. Like all good music should do, cinematic music is all about evoking the right emotions at the right time. Cinematic music scores can be empowering, lifting your spirits and brightening your mood. If you’re feeling tired and drained, try listening to some epic-style cinematic music to give you that extra boost of motivation.
