Exercise as a Student

By Bianca Zhou

How’s your health been feeling after sitting in class for hours? Probably not too hot; here are some tips to help you increase your step count for the day!

1.) Take the long way: Whether it’s too class or on your way home, these extra steps will accumulate the day.
2.) Stand up every thirty minutes: every thirty minutes, make sure to check up on yourself and see if you’ve moved enough. Stand up every thirty minutes of sitting, and if you’re in class and can’t stand up, try to shake out your legs at regular intervals.
3.) Add breaks to your studying time with quick walks or jogs: It’s proven that studying for long intervals of time is less effective than studying for shorter intervals. Adding in exercise breaks will not only help you with completing your daily exercise, but it’ll also help your studying plan. It’s a win-win!
